Dear Inner Circle Member,

We are experiencing a whirlwind of historic activity.

I am going to list some of the things I am trying to follow, and you will see how many different changes are in motion.

In Japan, there has been a government takeover of the Unification Church. This was essentially a death sentence for a religious organization. It is the most explicit assault on religious liberty by a noncommunist state that I can remember. It runs the real risk of spreading to other countries. Governments closing cemeteries, taking over churches, seizing bibles - this is the stuff of Nazi Germany and Joseph Stalin’s Russia, not a US ally.
